Moving to Shanghai tommorow from Thailand. My company advised me to come to Shanghai on a tourist Visa, and then once there they would process my working visa. They said this process could take up to 45 days to fully complete. So my question is, how long can I extend my 30 day tourist visa for?

But, you don't need to extend your tourist visa, as the application for work visa takes total 3 weeks, and it can even be expedited.

Just to know if Chinese Embassy(outside China) of any country will issue F visa if the invitation letter from a certain company was written all in Chinese. I know its possible but want to confirm from someone like you. I'm leaving china next wk with this letter for my colleague. My chinese is bad but it seems that the addressee is Shanghai PSB. The co. is requesting Shanghai PSB to issue 6 months F visa. This co. is no doubt a real and legit... but and ...but ...could this be possible? any comments from you.

Is it a letter of "Visa Notice" issued from the authority? If yes, it can be all in Chinese.
