VISA question

Postby dan51 » Sun Dec 04, 2005 3:08 am

Dear all

I was working in shanghai this year and was issued with a working visa until Feb 2006. I left Shanghai in June to return to the UK at which point I returned the working visa which accompanies the visa in my passport to the company i was working for at the time. I am returning to China in two weeks' time and was wondering whether i need to obtain a tourist visa or can i gain entry on my working visa, even though i don't have that brown book type thing which goes with the visa in the passport. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for your help

If the visa in your passport has not been stamped 'cancelled' and it is valid, you should be OK. They dont ask for the employment cert, or work permit when you go through Immigration.
