Bros out there!

I am a Singaporean, guess I will need the Z Visa, than get the residential visa than the multiple entry visa and tons of visas!!!

I am setting up an office in Shanghai so I will be travelling to Shanghai to setup the office and afterwhich after having a registered office than I am able to apply for the visas... Is this the right procedues? I am rather confused though..

Izit setup first than apply visa or .. apply visa (No company) than setup office... gosh...

Cheers

Well! You must look at your options. If your are registering a company this will take some time depending if it is a local company or a WFOE. You will not get a working visa from your own company until it is registered so I suggest your arrive on your tourist visa then you extend it to a business visa in Shanghai. Once your company is registered than you will get the working visa but until then just extend your business visa. I know a great law firm that can help you register your company at a very low service charge and they specialize in foreign affairs. You may just Private message me and I can give you all the information you need. Good luck to you!

The consular section of Chinese embassy to Singapore will issue you a multiple business visa easily when you tell them (in the application) that you will be coming here often in quest for the investment opportunities. They will most likely issue you a 1 year multiple visa with a maximum stay of 30-90 days on each trip.

Later on, if you are to hold a position in the WFOE or a rep office, you will be an integral part of the process anyway thus they will process your residence visa here in Shanghai anyways.

If you will be setting up a rep office and are to employ locals your best choice is to let the big agencies like CIIC or China Star to handle the whole process. Their management fees are low and they will deal with your case efficiently.

If it's gonna be WFOE, I would suggest hiring a reputable law firm with known track record to deal with the process.

Good luck
