A plated finish will often not last even 10 months. A PVD finish will last pretty much forever but can only be done over stanless steel case or brass with a copper content in excess of 70%. We use PVD in our business on commercial doorknobs, faucets, etc. where we give a lifetime guarantee on the finsh or will replace the product free of charge to our customer if the finish wears off. Abuse not included. Triple signed means that the stem of the watch, the case and the works all signed or have the logos as they appear on the original watches. You are only allowed to enter into the US with 1 replica watch at a time, and no that does not mean 1 of each brand. 1 replica watch total is all they will allow if your bags are searched.

Okay! Now thank you very much... I live in the netherlands and here we have an allowance of 3 watches... But now i have a new question.. How do i know that it has an PVD Coating?
And how can i notice wether a watch is waterproof or not... Or aren't these replica's waterproof? And can salesman show me if it really is waterproof? I'd like to thank you for the info you have given to me untill now!

It is funny because after several years of dealing with PVD (physical Vapor Deposition) I can tell by just looking at an item but I think that may be because PVD vaporized atoms sit on a substrate in a more uniform manner than a substrate which has been plated. It tends to look like a layer of gold for gold color for instance was bonded to the substrate rather than just a wash. I should probably take a loupe and look because I would bet that a PVD surface under a loupe would look quite different than a plated surface which would be more likely to show imperfections in the finish. I don't think the vendor has any idea about the kind of finish that is put on his watches.

As for waterproofing, some models hold water quite well and others do not. That really depends on how well the watch was sealed. I do not usually look for waterproof watches so maybe someone else can give you better help there. As long as they are water resistant and don't get ruined in the rain, that is fine for me as I am mostly into dress watches rather than sport watches.

Thanks for your info Renovator! I 'll keep this in mind!
Does anyone else have a clue where i can get this watch: http://www.trtime.com/iwc-portuguese-ch ... -1455.html
Or in this colors: http://www.trtime.com/iwc-portuguese-ch ... -1452.html

And what would be a reasonable price for good quality? With a 7750 movement...
I'm totally mad about this watch...
Because i think in shanghai i can get a better price for this then on this site!
Thanks

Or with a rolex if i can't get a good IWC : http://www.trtime.com/rolex-lv-green-ss ... -2664.html such one!

^ I am familiar with that replica website. In Shanghai you should pay about 90% less for the same watch as you will on that website for the identical watch. The problem is that just because a vendor has the exact replica watch in Shanghai today, does not mean he will have it tomorrow. What you can do is take a picture with you and show it around and if it is available it will be found by just going to 1 or 2 watch vendors. The watch vendors pretty much know exactly what their competition has. Of course if you need to have it found rather than search each stall yourself until you find it, you will have to pay much more unless you tell the guy upfront what you are willing to pay and he agrees to take you to his competition to make the sale. The problems with all these replicas is that they are made in in fairly large production runs and if the last run did not sell well, it will not be run again.

Okay! Thanks! But with what price should i start then? Should i say 200RMB for this watch... Or is that to low.. Because the quality this seller offers is very good! Some friends of mine have ordered here before.
But at the S&T museum they should have these replica's...
That's nice!

SandT u say!
Do u also know how to export them perhaps?
I Always heard for shipments to send them as a gift/sample... Or do i need to seal the watch itself?
How can i ship some watches for myself from shanghai to home so when i fly the customs wont take away my watches? See Ya!

^ if you take a couple with you each time customs will not bother you. Bring 3 or more and they will confiscate if they search your luggage and find them. You can send them but it is a real pain as you need to send them individually. If you do a lot of this you will get caught. US has really been clamping down on grey goods in past 1 1/2 years. They used to not care much but now are getting quite strict and if you get caught the penanties are quite severe. The US govt. has no problem with personal items or gifts but if you are importing them for resale you will eventually get nailed. You will therefore see that the replica watches available on websites, are all hosted and controlled and watches shipped from outside of the US and Europe as they would be promptly shut down in US or Europe.

You could probably import the parts and then assemble in the US or Europe which would get the watches in but once you tried to sell any quantity, you would get shut down fined and possibly worse.

^ Ok, So if i send a 3 or 4 watches to myself. I live in Belgium. Then i can have them per post if i ship them individually?
How can i show to the customs that they were sent as a gift and do i have to give the watch a value for them? how can i do this?
It is only going to be one time that i ship some. Thanks

Yeah but that's not a good Idea... I recently heard that you have to ship them hidden in toys or in pockets of trousers and then you send these toys as a gift... i Donnot know if it works... Anyone experience with this?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm looking for a good quality replica watch. Anyone have a reliable dealer they go through and know how much it would cost? I'm looking for something along the lines of a Omega Speedmaster Professional.

Nope, but I am going again soon, I will get their card when I do. As long is the brand name isn't Rolex or Omega, you can find them in the open. you just have to browse a bit.

Seems like it'd be a lot easier just to buy real watches?

@ Danielm103: Thanks, how do you tell if it's a good quality watch that won't break in 3mths? I bought some last year to bring back to Canada but the quality was pretty poor. I think I only paid around 80-90RMB at the time as it was during a weekday and it was raining so they really wanted the business.

@KopyKatKiller: for sure a lot easier if you buy the real thing but its also 10x or more!
