i am not into bashing drivers but some questions need to be answered here.

1. is that bmw engine total shite?
2. is there something wrong with the aussie connection (driver and technical director)
3. can either of these drivers set up or car or are there other problems

seriously, what is wrong with this team. at one point they had 2 drivers on the podium now they can't even qualify them in the top 10.

personally i thought webber had enough experience to make the jump to a top team and get results. i am pretty disappointed with him this year. and not just because we haven't got any bloody free beer at mat's.

webber was always a little overrated and even though he usually didn't finished in points he always qualified high, albeit usually on very low fuel. he also showed some real skill in testing and setting up a car. so what's the problem. we aren't getting any comment from williams and they have TANKED big time.

anyone know what is going on? or are the other teams just getting better>

obviously not wanting the free beer!

Webber is ok. Bad car, ordinary engine (yes it hurts to say that).

but wasn't his car and engine at Ford..whoops Jaguar worse, and he used to do better.

i think they have given up on the season and now just want to try and embarass bmw and blame everything on them

I think good engines bad Aero department. The drivers are not as hi profile as they ones they replaced but not bad and 1 is overly under rated.

The chaos with the twin tusk, saking the lead aero design lady and change of command in the tech department took a real beating to the team. Now with BMW leaving I'm wondering if the team will start to lose sponsors. Pretty sure HP wouldn't sign anything without Williams having a works engine.

do you think BMW could take a lot of their sponsor money?

i have no idea on the contracts and terms but could we see HP going to sauber/bmw?

I don't think BMW will take sponsors away. I think losing BMW will cost Williams sponsors unless they become a works team via another large car company.

I've very sure big ticketed sponsors have contacts that have a way out in the case of the team falling into something far from what it was when the contract was drafted.

Jordan went from a Honda works team midfield to paying for 2nd hand Ford backmarker in 1 year.

Allianz is a German company and quite likely to leave. HP deal was originally Compaq and since the takeover there have often been rumours that HP are not that keen on it.

I have had a love-hate relationship with Williams for years (liked Mansell, didn't really rate Hill, didn't really support JV, HHF, RS or JPM but like MW and Quick Nick), but do hope they can return to winning ways. Best hope is perhaps that Hyundai and Samsung come in as F1 Racing mag has speculated but who knows how likely or not that is.

I don't think we can blame the drivers for current woes, they are both equally struggling, and Williams have had aero problems for the past three seasons.
