Questions and Answers about living in Shanghai here.

26 years of British politeness and manners down the drain within days of arriving. I can schlurp my food, push people on the metro and talk with my mouth full.

And food on a stick.

have you ever, really walked out on a sunday morning, say 9, 10am and see all the people in the cars, and bikes hurrying from one place to another?

Everybody is out there hustling 24/7, if I say they have purpose, some might hate on me now.
But I think so, back home, you see the same people, sitting on the same bench, at the same bar, mon-sun, since 2002....

I love how everything is always in motion here, it's motivational, and inspiring.

Sir,

I'm sorry to interrupt your meditating state, but there is a mr. shakur calling from a far away place called heaven, he would like you to return his gimmick to him.
Also, he says, a mr. noah webster who happens to be with him asks you to kindly consult his book.

i love the skyline at night. the patio at bar rouge is the bomb! combo of a good metro and cheap cab rides makes life without a car manageable. i'm in van now until after the olympics and i keep thinking i just want to walk outside and grab a cab instead of taking my car somehwere...i also find shanghai international..great to meet people from all over the world....also, i think shanghai is on the verge of being the asian city. the ny of asia. i still think tokyo is #1 but shanghai is close.

and for a large, international city, shanghai is cheap overall.
