what do you love about the shanghai?
i'm learning what i can before i go. my last question provoked some negative comments (though in fairness that is what i asked for) so now i'd like to hear the positives...

believe me, it really does not bother me a bit, if you are trashing shanghai or china in general. i just think you spend too much time being negative.
i mean every chance you get, you spit out negativity. anyone who's been here for awhile already knew your opinion and where you stand on china issue. it's ok to take a rest, once a while, really!
i still believe that, you are a very nice person in life. this is all just your online personality. you can not help it. i don't know how much pleasure you get out of it, but IMHO, if you just use this dedication on something else, it would have done you good already.

Mandrin of course. now I can understand 90% shanghai hua, and speak 20% of shanghai hua(I think I can). but still find it weird speaking it so I never do that.
3 years ago when i came to shanghai, shanghai hua sounds japanese to me.
