Vicky Cristina Barcelona 4/5.

I'm not a Woody Allen fan, but this movie is just right, maybe because Woody himself is nowhere in it. Funny moments, lots of touristy Barcelona pics.
Viewers were laughing when it turned out one of the characters had learnt Chinese, but Penelope Cruz's comments about Chinese were less popular.

WANTED - 2.5/5

Has the action you want from a summer blockbuster, but without the Angelina Jolie you want from any movie (anorexic thus she looks significantly aged from her last movie); and the story is stupid.

Far North with Sean Bean and Michelle Yeoh.
Stunning scenery, minimal dialogue, wierd with the strangest ending.

Hancock (4/5) - Very funny parts upfront that got me interested in the film. Good film starring Will Smith, Jason Bateman (talk about back from the dead), and also a very lovely Charlene Theron (sp?).

Ironman (5/5) - Never read the comics so I'm not sure how Tony Stark's demeanor really is. But I did like how Robert Downey Jr played this role!

Incredible Hulk (4/5) - Edward Norton is perfect for this role in that he looks like a scrawny nerd...a complete opposite of the massive Hulk. For some reason, not too fond of Liv Tyler...just don't think she is a good actress. Now if they had casted Jennifer Connely from the first Hulk movie, I think we'd have a 5/5.

Alien vs Predator 2: Requiem (4/5) - If I weren't a fan of this genre, I would have given it a 3. Overall it was a decent film though the story line lacked quite a bit.

Kingdom of Heaven (5/5) - Not sure of its historical accuracy, but as a fictional film I thought it was great.

Indiana Jones 4 (2/5) - Never got into this film as I watched it on the plane, and only gave it an extra point because I loved the IJ series. Perhaps its because I was tired. Will buy it on dvd and force myself to watch it again.

Incredible Hulk - 7/10
An improvement over the first Hulk. When it's fighting, it's fun; but, when it isn't, it's not.

The Order of the Phoenix - 7.5/10
Whether or not you enjoy Order of the Phoenix depends on if you are a Harry Potter fan to begin with. This story didn't feel as disjointed as its previous chapter, and it's also the first one I really liked.

Hancock

Surprisingly good despite what the critics say, Will Smith is his usual charming and funny self, with a lot of Heroes style eye candy thrown in. Don't expect it to be like a marvel film or you will be dissapointed.

Michael Madsen, Dennis Hopper, Vinnie Jones , David Carradine in a biker flick produced by Quentin Tarantino . What can possibly go wrong I thought and bought the original. EVERYTHING is wrong with this movie. This is the worst movie EVER made. Terrible dialogue, crappy camera work, confusing cuts, a **** soundtrack BUT i'll probably never get to see that many naked chicks for the price of 250hk$ again...
The only thing this movie promotes is illegal downloading or shoplifting

Flashbacks Of A Fool

Cleverly written step back into how our lives get mixed up and don't get sorted at source so they effect our later lives. The simple truths are realised here, many 30-40 somethings will find many references to their own lives, release those feelings and we can live again. Simple good acting, good story, fantastic music, and very good emotional but simple ride, more of the same please. Daniel Craig plays emotionally pent up, spent up actor well, lovely mid scenes of the way we were in the early seventies. The Roxy Music song played in my head for a week after and i;d never heard it before. A must see for any romantic or any amateur psychologist or spiritualist or anybody living a life with repressed emotions...oh thats everybody then.

Simon Pegg and Kirsten Dunst ,amongst others, in a soppy semi funny love story. Has it's moments but also nothing too special

Bangkok Dangerous

Remake starring Nic Cage who seems to be hot or cold these days, I would say cold in this one due to the woodyness of his acting. In the original the hitman was deaf, in this the girl is. Some nice John Woo style stunts on the plus side.

Burn after reading. Brilliant by the Coen brothers. Loved it. Can't go wrong with Clooney and "Blado Pitto". 4/5.

Really wanted to buy this movie after reading the synopsis, but couldn't afford it due to the downturn in the global economy.
