Thanks

Harry Potter 7

I think fans will love the adaptation from the book, but casual viewers may feel a little bit bored in a few parts of the movie.

Also everybody will hate the division of the movie haha, Not so much fights since the last movie will have them.

4/5

Smash His Camera
Documentary film about Ron Galella. The title was said by Jackie O, to the agents guarding her children, in reference to Galella who was following, stalking her to get candid photos.
Now in his 70's he is the subject of this 2010 film. His house is a file of photographs of the famous and infamous caught on his camera over a long career as paparazzo in the US.

The Fountain (4/5) - really really enjoyed the style, the story, the flip-flopping of the scenes, and touching to boot. Strangely believable.

Social Network (2.5/5) - enjoyable yarn, but spoiled by the fact that a large amount of it is dramatized/fiction. The screenwriter losing the plot with quotes like:
Screenwriter Sorkin has been candid about his objective: to tell a compelling story, rather than slavishly following facts. "I don’t want my fidelity to be to the truth; I want it to be to storytelling," Sorkin told New York magazine. "What is the big deal about accuracy purely for accuracy’s sake, and can we not have the true be the enemy of the good?"

I'm sure he wouldn't be saying the same if the movie was about him. twit.

Casino Jack 4/5
Kevin Spacey is brilliant, as always, playing the role of Jack Abramoff, a high profile lobbyist jailed for shady dealings during the Bush administration. Must see...

i'm with you, juan - two for two. "winter's bone" is chilling, and one of the best of the year. it's still lingering in my psyche after two weeks. americans who live in other parts of the country forget this culture exists. and "casino jack" is brilliant. but i love kevin spacey anyway. interesting that abramoff is back in the news as we speak. if you saw these two flicks on a weekend, you'd be more than satisfied.

"The Night of the Hunter"

Jack the Ripper meets Mother Goose. Robert Mitchum has a field day as psychopathic preacher Harry Powell. With Lillian Gish and Shelley Winters. Directed by Charles Laughton, channeling D. W. Griffith. A movie unlike any other, and once you've seen it, unforgettable.

Oh come on... 4/5?
The ending is lazy. All the sudden the apprentice knows how to defeat the more experienced, stronger evil sorcerer when he couldn't even stop a robber earlier in the movie.
2.5/5 for me.

Had some time to get into some DVDs...

Social Network 5/5: Fincher at the top of his game and the best director around. Timberlake stole every scene.
Casino Jack 3/5: Ive been willing Spacey to really get into a great role (when was his last great movie?) and he was solid in this movie. Had a 'made for TV' feel about it though.
Winterbone: Just got it on DVD. My Dad keeps telling me its amazing, so looking forward to seeing it (not exactly a feel good flick though).
Red 3.5/5: Fun, disposable action flick. Funny spoof on the Bourne series.
Easy A 3.5/5: Nice homage to John Hughes and funny in moments.
Wall Street 2 0/5: Absolute rubbish. A pathetic story that was so ham-fisted. Poorly acted and written. Proving Oliver Stone is the most overrated director around.
