The place was before called GIOIAMIA but now everything has been changed, property, management, even forniture.
Not bad, really not bad at all.

Do they do tortellini in brodo, by any chance? Or risotto all'aceto balsamico? Kids are starting to ask for those dishes...

sorry I didn't study their menu, but I have been there again and they have a quite good pasta e fagioli!

Did you not read what I wrote above? I went to Piro, man. I chucked an egg on a burger, ate it and washed it down with ice cold, delicious beer. Why the hell would I give all that up for ravioli at your place?

Finally made it to barbarossa on Monday to try their "Happy Hour" deals

The pizza was terrible
the wagyu beef burger was actually good
well, total bill was around 130 including a mojito and barbados ( a good fresh fruit non-alcoholic drink)

Cameo's ~ Pines Shopping Centre.

First visit to this Italian restaurant but one I will certainly return to!

Service 5/5
Price 5/5
Ambiance 5/5 (Lighting,setting,noise level,privacy,music)
Food 4.0/5 - Two brilliant innovative dishes ~ one very mediocre Bolognaise

Overall a very enjoyable experience :p

I have been in the one in jinqiao, I don't know if it is the same branch.
If you are picky and looking for 100% real Italian food, this is not the place. Otherwise, you can have good food at a not bad price. I'd suggest it, but once again not for people really picky about original recipe and so on. They also have a quite interesting Sunday set lunch.

Yasmine's in Jinqiao.

No seats available at tables.. all reserved.

Sit at the bar please.

..All tables reserved?

Yes.  Big party coming.. All tables taken.

(tables sat vacant for almost an hour after which a few of the party dressed up in roaring 20s started moseying in)

Perched at the bar overlooking the kitchen.

Counter top had not been cleared/cleaned from previous patrons. Plates and spilt food littered the bench top. Looked like there'd been a food fight.

My high chair felt weak and wobbly. Change it for another one. Same.

Finally someone emerged and wiped down the counter top. Dirty rag used. Surface moisture lingered.

Serviettes arrived.
Waiter: Ok?
Knife arrived. Placed down on the serviette.
Waiter: Ok?

Umm, is anyone going to take our order?

After lots of arm waving, someone finally ventured by.

How would you like your steak?
  ..Well done
Any drink?
  ..No
No drink??
  ..No

Dish arrives. Meat red raw inside.

Don't get me wrong, some folks like it that way. Not me.

And I don't return food either. Heard too many bad stories. I'd rather they see the problem for themselves.

So I cut the meat through the middle and opened it out to reveal its uncooked state, and left it on the plate, uneaten.

No one asked "how is everything?"

No one commented on that uneaten prime beef for which (I'm assuming) they're famous for.

Act II. At the cashier.

98 yuan please.

..Umm, my steak wasn't cooked.

98 yuan.

But... my steak.. Not cooked. Did you not see it left on the plate??

(by now other patrons were listening in curiously)

Oh! sorry about that! It's that damn Cuban chef! Always give me problem! I have to kick his ass!

(He animates a kicking motion and puts on an angry face)

.. meanwhile someone else's steak is being taken back to the kitchen..

98 yuan

I can't be bothered arguing.

Thank you thank you.  2 yuan change. Uh bye bye. Smile of relief.

By this time a few of the roaring 20's folk had arrived.

And a cop stood there. A real one. Can tell by the shoes.

People were looking around, what's going on?

Something's up with this place.

Eye fillet - 98 rmb.

Not a big piece of meat. Even less excuse for it to be uncooked.

A raw deal in anyone's currency.

I agree.

I've reviewed a lot of restaurants world wide and a chef's concept of 'well done' appears to be somewhat subjective :p

Pasta is 11 rmb now? It was 10 when I last went a year ago. This 10% increase is unacceptable! :p
