In my limited view... there are 3 main areas for expats in Pudong. There is Lu Jia Zui (close to business district) with Yan Lord Gardens as one big family expat haven. No car needed as is close to civilisation. There is also the area around Jinqiao (carrefour on dingxian lu). Lastly there is the Century park area where there are both appartments and housing compounds, this is pretty remote and you will need a car.

I live in LuJiaZui which has a combination of peacefullness, closeness to Puxi (where most things happen) and high convenience in supermarkets/malls/restaurants.

I'm keen to find an apartment in Lu Jia Zui area. May I know how much rent should I expect to pay for a 2bedroom+1 study room or a 3 bedroom apartment? I'm only looking for an apartment at around 120-130sqm. Pls advise... thanks!

Welceome to Shanghaiexpat.
Lu Jia Zui area have different developments there and the prices varies widely.I can tell you that Shimao being the most expensive runs at 120-130 sqm goes for 1300 USD almost same for Yanlord garden. (this is according to the RE posts) and my personal experience. The Summit is 150sqm 3 bedroom is about 1000USD. Hope this helps
