I think you will have to find a decent agent to show you around. Obviously, there are a lot of details and alot homework required to find a really good real estate deal. It is dificult to do on your own, especially if you are not familiar with the city. Also, you may not want to limit yourself to just Gubei, unless there are other good reasons. The best long term appreciation on a real estate investment might not be in Gubei.
