Where to buy a squash raquet?

Postby IrinaBill » Mon Feb 27, 2006 11:31 am

My friend bought a squash raquet at the copy market and the strings broke the 2nd time he used it. Anyone know where to buy a decent quality raquet?

I'm a beginnner and looking for people to play with. I live at Changde Lu & Xinzha Lu (One Park Ave) there are 2 courts and its pretty easy to book a time or will travel in Puxi if you have a court.

Decathalon in Pudong has a selection. There is also a squash specialty store at Shanghai Stadium.

I've just purchased a top of the range Wilson at the Shanghai Centre department store on HuaiHai Lu

I bought a Wilson Prostaff 2005 model, definitely the real thing, for RMP 790 - you can get it online in the States for $69 http://www.squashgear.com/wihyprtosqra.html but that's the States

It's worth it to be sure of a real racket...

You can have a look at the shop near the tennis centrum on Fuxing LU(near Fenyang Lu).
Good price, real stuff and big choice.

http://www.decathlon.cn/english/magasins/magasin_huamu.htm, for the addresses. The one at huamu lu is slightly easier to get to in pudong as its right opposite the metro, whereas jinqiao in pudong requires a taxi.
