I took underh20 advice and went to a Chinese notary public that a local real estate agent recommended. I went there with a Chinese-speaking friend and waited 45 minutes to get service. My friend explained what I needed and after filling out a couple forms was presented a bill for 460rmb which I paid the receptionist at the front desk. After paying up I expected to get my notarized 1 page document but was told it needed to be translated before it can be notarized and this would take a week . I should have asked for a refund there and then. A week later I came back by myself to pick up my notarized 1 page document and was told it needed a few more days to get translated. I was so upset and created a big scene shouting in English this should only take a few hours and wanted my money back. Only one employee there understood some English and explained to the others why I was so upset. They never refunded my money so I will return monday with my Chinese friend to get my 1 page notarized document. Sigh.....I guess this is CHINA.
