Stay at home. Everywhere is crowded hell littered with muggers and pickpockets during China's holidays. I never go anywhere during those times. I prefer to travel during the normal non-weekend, non-holiday times.

^ Didn't you see the two words "outside china"? Not everybody is as free as you.

Personally I would recommend southeast asia but hurry up cause some of them have monsoon season starting from late October.

One of the three B's - Bhutan, Bangladesh or Burma.
The Vatican is against surrogate mothers. Good thing they didn't have that rule when Jesus was born.

Yes, I did miss the "outside china" part. Sorry about that.

I'd say Phuket Thailand. I was there last year in October and the weather was pretty good. Mostly sunny with the occasional torrential downpour. There is lots of family friendly hotels as the Thai have catered to European and Australian tourists for decades. Lots of activities as well like watersports, snorkeling, fishing, elephant riding, island hopping to islands like Koh Phi Phi (from the movie the Beach) and James Bond Island from one of he James Bond movies. Many hotels also have kids clubs where the organize special activities for kids thogh these are probably more happening during high season - December - February.

What do you look for? Entertainment, nature, adventure for children?

SE-Asia is pretty fine and easy reachable (after all you do certainly not wane spent the holiday in stop-overs). But consider malaria and others in SE-Asia.
North Sulawesi and Bali is quite safe (while this is relative).

My tip, take Singapore Air midnight flight to Singapore and a follow up flight a couple of hours later to Bali or North Sulawesi. You will be at 5pm at any destination with one of the best airlines (RMB 4500).
The statement that is SE-Asia Monsoon is not applied to all areas, so don’t get worried.

Why not holiday on an island? I travel this area since 20 years, we took even our 6 month son with us, a paradise for children. PM me for information if you like.
