Even in that area, older apartments usually start at 2500/mth, and thats for 1 bedroom only - and pretty crappy interior. Such a popular area so demand keeps the prices fairly high, even for the old apartments. If you're happy to walk 15mins, you can find plenty around that price - along Xietu Rd - towards the underground Carrefour, but even that area (2-3 blocks in any direction) is increasing in price. You may want to consider increasing your rental budget to 3000-3500/mth to give you more choice.
Are you already living in China (another city) or living abroad coming to China for the first time???

actually , as for me one bedroom would be fine. I dont mind if walking 15-20 min.
there are two month to consider about my apartment , hope the price will not go higher.
