You guys don't seem to really put much thought into your posts. I'm all for unqualified, over-the-top statements, but these are just lazy.

Maybe not when you consider the maturity of the writers.

There is plenty of Low-Middle looking local girls who stuggle to get decent asian guys at XinTianDi who would love your money. So go there!

If my girlfriend and her friends are anything to go by you wont meet 'normal local' girls anywhere in Shanghai. I met mine in Spain whilst we were both studying, but I know there would have been no chance in hell of us meeting here as we would never have crossed paths and there is no place where they go out with the intention of meeting guys. Try going to high school or university here, hitting on the girls at your work, or as a last resort the marriage market in Remin Park!

I got a few suggestions on 'normal':
- conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.
- approximately average in any psychological trait, as intelligence, personality, or emotional adjustment.
- free from any mental disorder; sane.
- free from any infection or other form of disease or malformation, or from experimental therapy or manipulation.

Natural.... Most of them are indeed very natural...

The Chinese girls who are seen in public, kicking and screaming at their boyfriend/husband, are they considered to be average in psycological traits?

With the Chinese people's massive knowledge of STD's and extensive use of condoms, I'd say that category of diseases must be somewhat not excisting in China.

I have a problem using SANE to define local girls or locals for that matter.

Sane: Consistent with or based on or using reason; "rational behaviour"; "a process of rational inference"; "rational thought"

Haven't seen much of that here. :D

From another thread which supports my previous post

seanryan471 wrote:I was informed by my Chinese boss that a colleague in Australia had very likely been infected with the swine flu. While she was telling me... she was cracking up! She was laughing so much, that it interuppted her speech a few times.

I went to go tell another coworker who would be affected by his absense. After I told her .... she started giggling too! She would laugh, add a comment like, "That means he will probably need to be quarantined," and then start laughing again!

I actually laughed a little as well. Partly because laughter is contagious, partly because I was astonished that they were laughing. The whole time I was thinking, "I can't believe they are laughing about someone getting sick."

What's the story here? Are they laughing because they are uncomfortable or because they are sick human being and they think someone catching the swine flu is funny?

Chinese tend to laugh when they are uncomfortable and insecure in a situation.

I guess this laughing maniac also thought it was plain funny, as the Chinese translation is probably something weird. Lost in translation...

I could never figure this out. Only last weekend we saw such a couple. Jeez, the poor guy was standing there like a little lamb and the girl was screaming in such a high voice and hitting him

Is this Chinese foreplay?!

My Chinese colleagues are like that. They would simply laugh their face off at anything. Told them I signed a contract - they wet themselves laughing. Told them I am getting a taxi - they collapsed in hysterics. So once I thought I would test it a little more. I bumped into some of them in the lift at lunch time, held up my food, and glumly said "It's a sandwich". Guess what.............
The Vatican is against surrogate mothers. Good thing they didn't have that rule when Jesus was born.

What makes me laugh are Archaeologists who are SO certain they figured out ancient cultures such as Egyptians, Greeks and others while today we are still scratching our collective heads trying to figure out Chinese culture today...

I understand Shanghai people are basically from all over China trying to make the big money. Same in Shenzen etc etc. Find 'normal' people in the smaller places or even in the remote village areas if you want 'normal'.
I took your advice and looked at the big picture . . . . . . but you are still an ugly, arrogant bas*ard

^ Shanghai and Shenzhen people are not the same at all...

25 years ago there was hardly any Shenzhen at all.. let alone people there... If I remember correct it was a village with about 20~30.000 people...

I believe you will find Shanghai people are actually original from Shanghai... Generations down...

Whereas people born and raised in Shenzhen have parents whom moved from other provinces "to make it big" in Shenzhen, less than 25 years ago...

True there are a lot of people in Shanghai from other provinces. But that does not make them Shanghai people... Just like me... I live here, but fcuk me if I'm a Shanghai guy...

Not necessarily mate.. I've seen this happen in Shenzhen and in Xiamen as well... Don't think those were Shanghai folks.. But of course can't be sure, none of them wore PJ's anyway..

But you might be right, it may happen more here than elsewhere. I've seen it quite a few times here already, and haven't been in SH that long yet...

Anyway, let any Chinese girl get one of those fits outside, with her foreign bf/husband.... Ain't gonna fcukin' happen...

Opposite story:
In Shenzhen, one evening I was sitting on my balcony having a beer, I heard yelling and screaming from ground level... Looked down, and saw a man yelling like a madman of his wife. (Guessing wife. They looked older than 30) There was a good 30-40 other people walking outside in the compound. The guy hit her in the back of the head a few times, and then finally kicked her in the back. Needless to say she cried a lot...

Well these things happens every place....it just so happens that in China the different classes lives/works more in the same area so you have the poor and rich right next to other...in the states you just have Jerry Springer to see how the other classes live/act, at least here there is strict gun control.
