mate, it's all to do with the Southern Hemisphere, Northern Hemisphere thing. As that very informative episode of The Simpsons once showed, the Southern Hemisphere (where i am from) has a different centre of gravity. our grapes therefore grow in negative gravity compared to yours, therefore putting them under the same Stelvin (screwcap) enclosure that you have in the North would cause some serious interhemispherical forces to basically implode the bottle into negative atmosphere.
