Postby Bobbybox » Sun Nov 08, 2009 9:34 am

Would anyone be willing to hep me set up Witopia on my Macbook?

Now this may sound silly but I have downloaded it again after contacting Witopia and I have a Tunnel blick logo at the top right of my toolbar

when i select i have 4 options

Connect 'openvpn'
Details
About
Quit

I click open and nothing....
so i think maybe it is working but no....

I have been at this for about a month now and I am really at a loss after so many messages to witopia tech help

Is their anyone out there willing to help I know it sounds stupid but I can not work out why this is nor working and im sure all my friends back in UK think either..

A= Im dead
B= Im in prison
C= I never really liked em and only added them as friends so i can look at their photo album and send messages about why there drunk in every photo

I can meet up and bring my PC with me if anyone is a good techo samaritan out there

In theory, you should have some openvpn connections listed there.
If you don't, suggest reinstall.

Connect should show at least a bunch of vpn tunnels in different locations to choose from.
Click one of the connections listed, and watch the tunnelblick icon.

It should change to a transparent (open door) icon when its connected.
If its connecting, the door will flash open/closed.
If its not connected, the door will be closed (completely black).

Tunnelblick is a bit password needy, so do make sure you plug in your password for the 3 or 4 times it asks you.

NB Tunnelblick is a GUI wrapper for OpenVPN.
Witopia is selling a VPN tunnel service which you connect to using Openvpn+tunnelblick.

If its not working, either reinstall, and try again.
If its still not working, suggest trash the folder /Library/OpenVPN/ and reinstall Witopia.

If you *still* can't get it going, PM me, and I'll assist.

Lawrence.
