Being robbed at gunpoint again in Durban the day before I left, I think they have a point.

Really sorry to hear that- hope you're not shaken up.

I think even if I was given free tickets to this world cup I'd still think twice. It could be a nightmare situation for FIFA next summer.

Portugal, France, Ukraine, Greece through.

So basically, no shocks whatsoever. Bah.

Tasty double handball from the French to beat the Irish, though. Pathetic refereeing.

The groups will be drawn on December 4. Any bars advertising to show it?

Ukraine went out to Greece. Slovenia put Russia out which was a shock (if not a major one.)

The day England won the world cup in 1966 was the worst day of my life. And I wasn't even born then. If England win the 2010 world cup it's an agony I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. I don't think I'll be able to cope with the pain.

I wouldn't worry overly. That said they will certainly do better than Scotland.

Yes it will be rich pickings for the muggers, the temptation will be too high. If I go next year, as I'd like to, I'd go with the Barmy Army.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. I will be in SA again in February, and intend to finish my boat then.

Yeah, fantastic news for football in NZ in general - pretty tough getting kids into soccer when rugby is the countrys religion.
