Does anyone know of any existing writing groups or book clubs in Shanghai (in English) which would welcome new members? As I work, I'm interested in ones which meet at night or on Sundays.

I think there's one book club meeting up in Figaro near Xintiandi, but I've never actually been to any of their meetings. Go to cityweekend, I think they have more info re this. I'm not sure if that club is still functional.

For the writing club, I've read somewhere, maybe also in cityweekend, that there's a group (different from the book club) also supposedly meeting up every now and then. I haven't seen them or read about them anywhere else since. Perhaps it's time to put up a new one, eh?
