WTF happen to gmail?

there's no logout now in gmail.... wtf?
i googled... there's no logout beside my user name either... holy f... shiet

shiet asss google shiet.... as i said can never truest these crap west companies


gonna to create my QQ mail.

^^Yeah. The west is defiantly the problem with gmail in China. :roll:

Gmail works great with a vpn. And the best thing about gmail is that the CCP isn't reading your emails.

Yes since getting a VPN today, I discovered I there is nothing wrong with gmail. It's just the china firewall

I suggest newbies get an account with hotmail or yahoo.. Gmail sucks here unless you have vpn.

But hey - that would be a bit too scarily like asking people to think for a split-second.

i beg to disagree, where I came from normal household is only "up to" 1 MB speed. basically, you don't get 1mb speed at all. yes, we don't have firewall on wiki or youtube or twitter gmail, but internet is damn sloooow...

the only problem in China internet is the firewall, but if you have vpn, life is good.

Not true anymore.
I use Foxmail as email client.
Until my last stay in Shanghai, it was fine and I never felt the need for a vpn.

But thursday and friday last week, I almost got a heart attack. I had 2 emails with about 10 Mb attachments, the messages took like 2 hours to download, and one stopped just at about 90% of the transmission; I wanted to kill somebody.

I have found a good soft to make a personal vpn with my computers in Taipei, but it means that I will have to leave one machine running 24/7

So, I am looking to shop for a vpn, finally

Fcuk China and its censorship....Ahh I feel better suddenly :twisted:

I never had the slightest problem sending or receiving emails with my Gmail account using Mac Mail as the client.

However, my firm switched all its employees' accounts from Gmail to QQ a month or so ago, so perhaps there have been new developments. Nevertheless, I would suspect that Mr T's Foxmail issues may have been simply due to the size of the attachments causing some bot to throttle the process.

Can anyone else confirm that Gmail is flaky via a client?

Certainly the campaign against Google by the Chinese government is incredibly childish, and I would be at all surprised if it's also illegal under provisions of the WTO treaty to which China is a signatory.

However, there is of course such a thing as "plausible deniability"...

so basically to logout.. you have to shut the page and open another one... and login again... but sometimes it doesn't logout even if you shut the page... so you're stuck.... then you need to clear cookies.... etc... crazy gmail... and it's anti-china boss

It may be hardware- or login-specific, though I don't see how that's possible. Running the latest version of Firefox (7?), I do have a logout option on the drop-down on my home computer and on one of my office desktop computers, but not on the other office desktop in a different room. It disappeared a few weeks ago.

at home my gmail doesn't give a logout either. yet at office, where the server is in Italy, my gmail works perfectly.
