Can only comment on Green Court 1 (green court 2 and Green villas, green hills, etc are each different). Apartments are 3 bedrooms mostly, with minor variations. Well built to begin with - so less maintenance issues than most. Convenient to shops and restaurants and Dulwich or Concordia schools. Not convenient to much else. My employer pays the rent. A good place for teens- lots of other teens and excellent bus service to many schools.
Basically easy, expat living but distant from the heart beat of the city.

Hi estherISmyNAME.

Out of the two I think I would choose Yanlord based on the history of the developer. Yanlord has 3 compounds in Shanghai and they have loads of experience managing apartments with foreigners. Having said that it is a fair way out. You may want to ask the agent to ask the management for the breakdown of foreingers there.

Have a look at Advice on Leasing to get an idea of what the real estate process is all about.

All the best.

Hi

I live on Yanlord Parkside, only been here 2 weeks and new to China/Shanghai so can't comment too much at the moment ! For me its fine, mostly 3 bedrooms apartments, just a few minutes walk to metro line 6 which is really handy and walking distance to a supermarket/KFC/Pizza Hut etc...........

The gardens here are very nice, it has a swimming pool and also there is a gym in the clubhouse.

Hope this was a little help, if you need any further info just let me know and I will do my best to help.

Thanks

Hi Maddog30,
I have visited the Yanlord Parkside yesterday and like the environment of the estate. I am considering to get a unit there. Appreciate if you can share with me your experience and feeling about living in that compound and also how easy to access to the supermarket, foods, etc. It seem there is quite a distance to walk from the compound to the surrounding amentities. Would like to seek your opinion

Hi Maddog30,

I am really sorry.....I did receive your response and haven't log in to this site for a while due to work commitment.

Thank for replying to my email. I am still considering renting a unit in this yanlord parkside estate and will probably be viewing some units this month. I have gone to view the other yanlord town at Lianyang, Dingxiang Lu and I find the estate is too conjested as the blocks there are high rise consisting too many units.

I live in Greenhills, moved there last year October, after having lived 9 years in Seasons Villas. I love the JinQiao area. Nice and quiet, and far away from all the noise, bad air, and chaos of Puxi.
Great area for families with kids.
