YKPao School and Shanghai High School (International Stream)

Postby goingtoSH » Sun Sep 27, 2009 9:36 pm

HI folks,

has anyone any review or experience with the above two schools? I have a 5 year old who is currently in the Singapore International School in Hong Kong. We are moving to SH in Nov.
Any inputs would be much appreciated, thank you.

Have a look at the thread 'best international school' at the top of the page. With 22 pages of comments, these two schools must have a mention somewhere!

There is a Singapore International School here too.

YK Pao starts at Grade One as far as I know and they are supposed to be a bilingual version of a IB school. Don't know much else about it.

Thanks! Will look through the international school thread. Noted that the SSIS website is either down or there appears to be some reason I cannot access the site.
Keep getting message saying link is broken.

Yeah, same problem here, and I'm in Shanghai. Looks like I'd need to let IT know.

If you from Sigapore. The SSIS is pretty good. Their Chinese program is very good and it is not so expensive like most international schoo. They had two campus in Shanghai. I don't think they have waiting list like SAS too. Go take look, you will like it.

YK Pao School offers an education rooted in Chinese culture yet integrated with an international approach and perspective, to allow students to continue studies at top universities around the world. Their goal is to develop creative, independent and responsible students through a student-centred approach to teaching, emphasizing arts, sports, group activities and community service as well as academic studies while Shanghai High School is committed to providing a conducive environment for a future-oriented, holistic education, anchored in a rigorous bilingual academic programme, for children of all nationalities. We nurture pupils to be independent life-long learners imbued with sound moral values who are respectful and responsible, and who rise to the challenges of life creatively and enthusiastically in an ever-changing world.
