Obama Heads To Shanghai, Beijing To Meet With Xi

By Jordan Harris

Former President Barack Obama landed in Shanghai yesterday as part of a three nation tour where he'll visit China, India and France. After holding various meetings yesterday, Obama was scheduled to head up to Beijing where he'll participate in an education summit and meet with President Xi.

Obama's office released a brief statement saying Obama had ‘forged a close and cooperative partnership with President Xi on issues ranging from growing the global economy to combating climate change, and he looks forward to catching up with his former counterpart.’’

The visit comes just a couple of weeks after current President of the US, Donald Trump was in China to hold a summit and meet with Xi.

It's unclear what exactly the former leader and Xi will talk about during their meeting. Maybe they'll be cracking jokes at Trump's distinctively mop-like head of hair. Or maybe not, who knows?
