WATCH: Chinese Parents Keep Baby In Locker While They Bathe

By Tom Miller

Just in case you had any doubts as to who the parents of the year are, footage has surfaced of a question shows a pair of parents opening up a locker at an unspecified public bathhouse and pulling a screaming baby from it.

Kan Kan News reported that the clueless parents left their child in a locker because they didn’t want to care for the child while they bathed and swam. Pro parenting tip guys: a baby is not a cellphone.

As the video footage shows, the parents struggled to open the locker by themselves, so they enlisted the help of an employee at the bathhouse. She obliged but was visibly shocked when she discovered a baby in place of the usual personal belongings.

It's yet unclear how long the child was kept in the locker, however, according to Kan Kan News, even though the child was crying when it was finally removed from the locker, it did not  appear to show any symptoms of suffocation. While this is good news, there is a legitimate worry that the child might suffer from claustrophobia in the future.

Many Weibo users were enraged by the couples’ behaviour, calling them "careless," "selfish" and "irresponsible." One netizen commented, "The child looked powerless when it was pulled out. How scared the child must have been after being left in such a dark and small space." Another user rightfully noted that, "The child is not an object. If it's not convenient, then don't go to take the bath."

Here's hoping the police will be notified so the careless couple can be hauled in to face the music.
